WTS-OC is proud to share that our three 2018 High School Scholarship Recipients have chosen UC Berkeley, UCI and UCLA to continue their studies toward improving the future of transportation.

WTS-OC members delivered a $1,000 donation to a second grade class at Acacia Elementary School in Fullerton. The class participated in the 2018 WTS Student Art Program.

To commemorate WTS-OC's 30th anniversary, former chapter presidents share how WTS has benefited their careers and what they love most about working in the transportation industry.

WTS Orange County supports our Pacific West Region Council's latest initiative to shine a light on women in transportation and engineering who are making moves and making a difference. 

Thank you for the opportunity to serve between 2018-19 as your WTS Orange County chapter president and for the last decade as a board member.

A second grade class at Acacia Elementary School in Fullerton was able to purchase six Dash robots and 10 brain games with a donation from WTS-OC.

Chapter member Allison Jenney spent the day at Dale Junior High School to participate in the school's Revisioning Day, while learning skills and exercises that could help improve WTS-OC. 

METRANS Transportation Center students Yilin Zhang and Rui (Rae) Zhang attended WTS-OC and WTS-SD's monthly luncheon featuring representatives from Caltrans Districts 11 and 12.

The students, both recent graduates from USC's Master of Planning Program, were able to meet industry professionals and learn more about what to expect with a career in transportation.

On a national scale, WTS is launching a brand new look. In the coming days and weeks, our chapter will also be unveiling our fresh new look for our members to enjoy on our social media platforms, newsletters and on our own chapter's blog. Although our logo may be changing, the mission remains the same - to advance women, and advance transportation.

11 girls and women pursuing a career in transportation were awarded with scholarships totaling $50,000 at the 2019 WTS-OC annual gala. Learn more about these future female leaders and why they are interested in making a difference in the transportation sector. 

WTS-OC partnered with the Anaheim Union High School District to host the fifth annual Girls' Engineering Day on Feb. 23. Read about the event on the Orange County Breeze and Mass Transit websites!

WTS-OC helped introduce kids to engineering at ASCE-OC's Dream Big event. The event was held at the Frida Cinema in Santa Ana, where kids between the ages of 9 and 18 walked down a red carpet surrounded by activities related to engineering hosted by various organizations within the industry. Kids were also invited to watch a showing of MacGillivray Freeman's film Dream Big: Engineering Our World.
